RASC News Agency: The United Nations has recently expressed concerns over the presence of extremist groups, particularly Al-Qaeda, in Afghanistan, as stated in its report.
The report mentions that some leaders of these groups are in contact with senior members of the Taliban and are seeking to expand their presence and influence in the region.

It should be noted that the presence of extremist groups in Afghanistan has raised significant security concerns in the area. Political leaders in the region and around the world have repeatedly urged the Taliban to restrict the presence and activities of these extremist groups in Afghanistan.
Sinirlioğlu, the United Nations Special Coordinator for Afghanistan, commented on this matter, stating that the Taliban must engage with the international community for peace in order to establish their legitimacy.

Mr. oğlu, further added that all groups with common interests should make necessary efforts to build a peaceful and prosperous future for the Afghanistan people.
This report is released amidst the repeated claims by the Taliban that Afghanistan is 99% cleared of terrorist groups and poses no threat to this country or other countries in the region. It should be noted, however, that despite the Taliban’s claims of no threat in Afghanistan, we have witnessed several suicide attacks and explosions in the past few months. Responsibility for all of these incidents has been claimed by the Khorasan branch of the ISIS group.  The recent terrorist attack that was claimed by ISIS indicates the existence of a terrorist group within the country.
