RASC News Agency: According to reports coming out of Nangarhar province, it has been confirmed that a resident of the region committed the act of killing his son’s spouse. The incident took place in the “Trilly” area of Kot district within the province, where the man shot his daughter-in-law. The motive behind this tragic event is believed to be an alleged illicit relationship.

The perpetrator of this crime has been identified as Gojar, as revealed by sources. Not only did he target his son’s wife, but he also accused another man of being involved in the illicit relationship. Following the incident, Gojar managed to escape the area, prompting the Taliban police forces to launch efforts to apprehend him. similar cases of honor killings have taken place in various provinces across the country.

It is crucial to highlight that alongside honor killings, the country has experienced an alarming increase in mysterious and targeted killings since the Taliban assumed control. Due to the absence of a formal judicial system, many perpetrators have managed to evade capture and escape without facing any consequences.

Furthermore, there are indications suggesting the possible involvement of Taliban members in some of these targeted murders. For instance, a recent incident in Khost province involved a member of the Taliban intelligence group killing a tribal elder, yet no action was taken by the group to apprehend the responsible individual. This raises concerns about the lack of accountability and justice in these cases.
