RASC News Agency: Sources from Faryab have reported an incident where a man set five members of his own family on fire using gasoline. The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 15th, in the village of Mahmood Khil, located in the Dawlat Abad district of Faryab province. As a result, one of the man’s young sons lost his life in the fire, while the remaining four family members sustained serious injuries. The man responsible for this act has been identified as Mohammad Nabi, who is known to be addicted to drugs and has a history of domestic violence towards his wife and children. The motive behind this act remains unclear, and the Taliban group in Faryab has not made any statements regarding the incident.

Moreover, incidents of domestic conflicts have been on the rise in various provinces of the country, with women and children being the primary victims. Experts attribute this alarming trend to factors such as poverty, unemployment, drug addiction, the overall challenging situation in the country, and mental illnesses. These underlying issues contribute to the strain within families, leading to such tragic outcomes. It is crucial for society to address these root causes, provide support systems to prevent further instances of family violence, and protect vulnerable individuals.

Afghanistani girls and women have faced extreme oppression and exclusion from society ever since the Taliban group took control of the country. The imposition of severe oppression on Afghanistani girls and women, along with their exclusion from society, has been a direct consequence of the Taliban group assuming power in Afghanistan.
