RASC News Agency: Three separate traffic accidents along the Kabul-Jalalabad highway have resulted in one death and 52 injuries. According to reports, the health condition of several injured individuals is critical, while others remain in stable condition. In a separate incident, the Taliban’s provincial police command in Laghman confirmed that around 6:00 PM yesterday, two “Saracha” vehicles collided in the Tangi Mashale area, leaving seven people injured.

Earlier, about an hour prior to this, a “Mercedes” vehicle had collided with a high-speed car in the province, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to 39 others. Additionally, a collision between two electric vehicles in the Darunta region left six individuals injured. Some sources report that several of the injured remain in serious condition, while others are recovering. These incidents add to the growing list of fatalities and injuries caused by traffic accidents in various provinces over the past months.

Just last week, three individuals lost their lives in a traffic accident in Badakhshan, while two others perished in Nangarhar. Recent data suggests that over the past month, traffic accidents have caused close to 100 casualties, with several victims suffering severe injuries, including the loss of limbs. Many survivors are left permanently disabled, with some sustaining significant eye injuries.

Reckless driving, deteriorating road conditions, and the widespread disregard for traffic regulations are cited as the leading causes behind these frequent accidents across the country.
