RASC News Agency: Officials from the Afghanistan Institute for Development and Health have announced the construction of three healthcare centers in Helmand province and stated that these centers have been built with the most advanced and essential equipment. Zabihullah Fayzi, the provincial official of the Afghanistan Institute for Development and Health, informed the media on Thursday, November 16, about the commencement of operations at these centers and stated that $127,000 USD has been spent on their construction.

According to the information shared by Mr. Faizi with the media, these centers have been constructed in the districts of Naad Ali, Dishu, Rigan, and Nawa in Helmand province and have been put into operation. As stated by Mr. Faizi, all of these centers have been built using containers in the open spaces of these towns and are equipped with standard rooms, solar-powered water, and electricity. Meanwhile, residents of these towns have expressed their satisfaction with this initiative and stated that their existing health challenges will be resolved to a great extent.

It should be noted that Afghanistan is a country where a large number of citizens do not have access to healthcare centers in various corners of the country, and every day, many lives are lost due to the lack of access to doctors and medicine. It must be mentioned that according to reports received by RASC news agency, a significant number of victims in remote areas of the country are newborns and pregnant women due to the absence of healthcare centers.
It is worth mentioning that after the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan, all sectors in this country, especially the healthcare sector, have faced serious challenges due to the lack of international assistance.
