RASC News Agency: Taliban officials from the security command in Kabul province recently announced the arrest of 2,136 individuals on charges related to over 2,000 criminal cases within the past six months. During a press conference held on Wednesday, November 15th, Khalid Zadran, the spokesperson for the Taliban security command in Kabul province, highlighted that these cases encompass a range of offenses, such as murder, robbery, arms smuggling, and the use of alcohol. Zadran further revealed that the Taliban forces conducted 545 operations during this period, resulting in the seizure of significant amounts of illicit substances, including 4,628 kilograms of heroin and over 102 kilograms of methamphetamine.

It is worth noting that the Taliban group has made this information public regarding the arrest of more than 2,000 individuals in Kabul province. This is noteworthy because Taliban officials have consistently claimed a decrease in criminal incidents across the country, particularly in Kabul city. However, it is important to acknowledge that some Afghanistani citizens have alleged the involvement of Taliban members in certain criminal activities, including murders and armed robberies. Despite these claims, the Taliban group has consistently denied any involvement in such acts.

Furthermore, it is crucial to highlight that various reports of different crimes, ranging from mysterious and targeted murders to armed robberies and kidnappings, are regularly published from different provinces of the country. This indicates the ongoing challenges faced by Afghanistan in maintaining law and order, as well as the need for continued efforts to effectively address these issues.
