RASC News Agency: Reports from Balkh province indicate that two powerful explosions occurred in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, the center of Balkh province. Local Taliban officials have stated that these explosions were the result of a fire. According to sources, the explosions took place in front of the Taliban Intelligence Headquarters of the Taliban group, causing significant damage to a cache of weapons belonging to this faction. Following the explosions, gunfire was also heard in the area. The Taliban quickly dispatched military vehicles and ambulances to the scene.
In response to the incident, Haji Zahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban group in Balkh province, took to social media to explain that a circuit short caused the explosions and subsequent fire in a residential house in the 11th district of Mazar-e-Sharif. Zahid emphasized that no injuries were reported. It is important to note that this incident occurs at a time when the Taliban group has been intensifying its attacks on government offices across various provinces in the country. Additionally, other factions, such as the Afghanistan Freedom Front and the National Resistance Front, have also been carrying out attacks on Taliban outposts.
