RASC News Agency: In response to the recent influx of undocumented Afghanistani immigrants from Pakistan to Afghanistan, Seyed Rasul Mousawi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, has expressed his concerns regarding the humanitarian and Islamic implications of expelling these individuals. Mr. Mousawi took to social media to emphasize that the forced expulsion of Afghanistani immigrants without proper documentation contradicts the principles of Islam and humanity, especially considering the ongoing crises in Afghanistan.
He further suggested that while every country has the right to manage the presence of foreigners within its borders, Pakistan should reconsider its decision and allow these immigrants more time to voluntarily vacate, thus preventing a potential crisis in Afghanistan.
It is important to note that the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran raised this issue amidst reports of 6,000 to 10,000 Afghanistani immigrants being deported from Iran and forcefully returned to their home country in a single day. This comes as Pakistan has intensified its efforts to expel undocumented Afghanistani immigrants since November 1st, resulting in thousands of individuals being forcibly returned to Afghanistan on a daily basis.
Moreover, these immigrants face additional challenges upon their return, as they reportedly lack access to basic facilities controlled by the Taliban group, leading to further difficulties.
In light of these circumstances, numerous media outlets have highlighted the grievances expressed by these immigrants, particularly regarding the high cost of housing in Nangarhar province. This further highlights the challenges faced by Afghanistani immigrants expelled from Pakistan as they struggle to reintegrate into their home country and access essential resources for their livelihoods.
