RASC News Agency: Reports from Daikundi province state, as of November 6th, that the Taliban group operating within the Department of Education in the region has resorted to coercive tactics in mobilizing assistance from employees, teachers, and students of local schools to support the victims of the earthquake in Herat province.
Despite the escalating poverty rates in the country since the Taliban assumed power, coupled with reduced aid activities and increased restrictions on women’s employment, a sum of 569,500 Kabuli rupees has been collected as aid from Daikundi province. This comes at a time when teachers in the region are grappling with severe economic hardships due to the Ministry of Education’s failure to disburse their salaries for several months.

An anonymous source revealed that the Taliban-controlled Ministry of Education has neglected its duty of paying teachers’ salaries, plunging them into dire financial straits. The aid contributed by the employees, teachers, and students of the Department of Education in Daikundi province serves as a testament to their unwavering commitment to help those affected by the earthquake in Herat. However, it is imperative to note that despite the continuous declarations of aid provision from countries and organizations, the Taliban, through its control, unjustly appropriates a significant portion of these vital resources, denying deserving individuals the much-needed assistance they require.

Furthermore, recent reports have pointed out an alarming increase in the Taliban’s acts of violence and intimidation towards Afghanistani citizens across various provinces. These incidents of misconduct have been extensively documented, shedding light on the deteriorating situation under the Taliban’s regime.
Moreover, an official from the Taliban group’s Ministry of Refugees and Returnees has openly acknowledged the widespread misuse of a considerable portion of aid under their purview, exacerbating the challenges faced by the Afghanistani people.
