RASC News Agency: Amidst the recent arbitrary arrests of civilians by the Taliban group in various provinces of the country, local sources have revealed that three more civilians have been apprehended in Panjshir province. On Saturday, November 4th, media outlets were informed that these individuals, identified as “Shirin Khan,” “Mohammad Mirza,” and “Sikandar,” were residents of Dara district in Panjshir province. They were apprehended by the Taliban group last Wednesday, and their current whereabouts remain unknown.
According to the sources, the Taliban group subjected the detained civilians to torture and physical abuse before taking them to an undisclosed location. The group accused them of possessing weapons and warned their families against surrendering any firearms, stating that the detainees would not be released.
It is important to note that these individuals have no military background, as confirmed by the sources. The Taliban group has a history of arresting, torturing, and imprisoning civilians across different provinces, particularly targeting the residents of Panjshir province.
Moreover, numerous reports have surfaced regarding the deaths of these individuals due to the brutal treatment inflicted upon them by the Taliban group. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the group has also engaged in violent actions against Afghanistani citizens, specifically targeting the youth.
In Kabul province, four young men from Panjshir were shot, and three others were killed in Balkh province for their affiliation with the National Resistance Front. The severe restrictions and policies imposed by this group have been widely condemned by national and international organizations. However, despite the criticism, the Taliban has remained steadfast in their approach towards the citizens of Afghanistan, showing no signs of altering their policies.
