RASC News Agency:The Taliban group’s embassy in Qatar has announced that approximately one million kabuli rupees, the local currency in Afghanistan, have been collected by the representative of the Afghanistani Council residing in Qatar to aid the earthquake victims in the Herat province.
The Taliban’s embassy in Qatar raised this issue on Saturday, 27th of October, through social media. They added that the collected aid has been handed over to Mutee’ul-Haq Khalis, the head of the Afghanistani Red Crescent Society, and Mohammad Naeem, the interim head of the Afghanistani embassy in Qatar.

According to reports, on the 7th of October, a severe earthquake struck western Afghanistan, especially the Herat province, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives, injuries to thousands more, and rendering many people homeless.
It is worth mentioning that several countries around the world had previously announced their assistance through humanitarian aid, including cash donations, supplies, and dispatching medical teams to support these affected individuals.

However, it has been reported that some of the earthquake victims in the Herat province have complained about the unfair distribution of humanitarian aid by the Taliban group. They added that the Taliban predominantly distribute aid to their preferred areas.
In the meantime, it is noteworthy that earlier, the Minister of Migrants of the Taliban group stated that the current distribution of humanitarian aid in Afghanistan was not appropriate and that most of the aid was being misused.

Moreover, it is said that previous reports have also highlighted the mismanagement of humanitarian aid by Taliban members in various provinces across the country.
