RASC News Agency: The Ministry of Interior of the Taliban group recently made an announcement regarding the apprehension of 21 individuals from different provinces in connection with a range of criminal activities. In a message shared on social media, Abdul Matin Qaneh, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior Affairs, disclosed that these individuals were captured by the Taliban police on charges of robbery and harassment. The provinces affected by these arrests include Balkh, Takhar, Kabul, Zabul, Herat, and Helmand.
According to the aforementioned official, out of the 21 detainees, three individuals from Takhar province were arrested for instances of harassment, three robbers from Balkh, two individuals engaged in theft from Kabul, two robbers from Zabul, and one additional robber, along with an accomplice involved in the illicit trade of stolen vehicles, from Herat province.
Qaneh went on to state that in the past week, the security forces of the Taliban’s security command in Helmand province have apprehended 10 individuals who are suspected of being involved in robberies occurring throughout both the center and districts of the province. Additionally, the Taliban’s police force has declared the arrest of eight individuals linked to drug trafficking from various provinces across the country.
Furthermore, it has been reported that criminal activities, such as armed robberies, targeted murders, and kidnappings, have surged in numerous provinces across the country since the Taliban assumed control of the nation.
It is crucial to emphasize that members of the Taliban group have also been implicated in multiple incidents of stealing personal belongings from individuals residing in various provinces. The most recent report comes from Sar-e-Pol province, where sources have indicated that Taliban members, with the support of the governor of Sancharak district, are engaged in the widespread looting of people’s property.
