RASC News Agency: According to recent reports, the number of Afghanistani migrants returning to their home country has increased since Pakistan implemented a deadline for their departure. Pakistani media sources indicate that a total of 59,561 Afghanistani refugees have already made the journey back to Afghanistan.
To facilitate this repatriation process, the Taliban Affairs Commission has provided necessary support and facilities to ensure a peaceful and appropriate return for these Afghanistani migrants. Additionally, Pakistani security forces are actively present at the border to ensure the safety of Afghanistani citizens during their return.
However, Pakistan’s recent announcement of an expulsion plan for illegal refugees, with a deadline set for November of this year, has prompted strong reactions from international organizations. Concerns have been raised about the vulnerable position of Afghanistani refugees and calls have been made for Pakistan to reconsider its decision.
It is worth noting that decades of conflict and Taliban rule in Afghanistan have led to a significant influx of migrants to neighboring countries, particularly Pakistan and Iran. These migrants face numerous challenges and difficulties in their host countries as they seek safety and stability.
Among the Afghanistani refugees seeking shelter in neighboring nations, there are some former Afghanistani government officials who express concerns about the uncertainty they might face upon returning to Afghanistan. The situation has also raised concerns among European Union member states, who fear that returning Afghanistani refugees may be subjected to serious threats and risks.
