RASC News Agency: The recent announcement made by the Ministry of Refugees and Returnees of the Taliban group has brought attention to the repatriation of more than 2,000 refugees from Iran back to Afghanistan. This significant development follows the return of Afghanistani refugees from both Pakistan and Iran. On October 22nd, the ministry conveyed this information via a message on the X social media platform, revealing that a considerable number of Afghanistani immigrants, totaling 2,805 individuals, had arrived from Iran the previous day.

In addition, the Ministry of Migrant Affairs of the Taliban group has underscored that the return of these migrants from Iran to Afghanistan has occurred through both forced and voluntary means. Moreover, the Border Commander of Islam Qala has reported that 248 of these migrants are in need of urgent humanitarian aid. However, the ministry has refrained from disclosing the precise number of migrants who were forcibly or voluntarily returned. The ministry has also confirmed that these individuals have been referred to the International Organization for Migration to receive the necessary humanitarian assistance.

Furthermore, it is imperative to acknowledge that despite recent surges in the expulsion of Afghanistani refugees from neighboring countries, particularly Pakistan, serious concerns have arisen among these vulnerable asylum seekers. The expulsion of Afghanistani refugees from neighboring countries has triggered significant reactions from legal and international institutions. It should be noted that the Taliban’s control over Afghanistan and the subsequent developments have led to an enormous influx of Afghanistani citizens seeking refuge in neighboring countries.
