RASC News Agency: The officials of the Ministry of Information and Culture of the Taliban group, during their trip to Takhar province, opened a local media called “Sada-e- Shariat” on wave 88.3 in Rustaq district of this province, which publishes the group’s religious and propaganda issues.

Mullah Khairullah Khairkhawa, the Minister of Information and Culture of the Taliban group, says that ” Sada of Shariat” radio, which covers the entire district of Rustaq, was established by this ministry and broadcasts on 88.3.

According to him, this radio broadcasts religious, social, cultural and economic issues.

The Minister of Information and Culture of the Taliban group also emphasized the necessity of “free activity of the media” in the country and added that the Taliban group is “committed” to support various visual, audio and print media.

This local audio media is starting to broadcast in Takhar province, among the 24 audio, video and print media that had broadcasts during the previous government; Only 4 radios and two TVs have intermittent broadcasts, according to the media officials in Takhar province.

Economic problems, high electricity and financial costs from the Taliban group are among the reasons why most of the media in Takhar province have stopped working.

Meanwhile, the “International Federation of Journalists” condemned the repression of journalists in Afghanistan under the administration of the Taliban group and demanded the immediate release of all imprisoned media workers.

This federation said that the number of arrests of journalists in Afghanistan has increased.

Also, the International Federation of Journalists (September 5) announced the release of 9 journalists from the Taliban prison in the last week.
