RASC News Agency: According to local sources in the province of Khost, the Taliban group has reportedly taken hostage the father and two brothers of a former military officer who currently resides outside of Afghanistan.
Sources informed the media on Thursday October 12, stating that these three individuals were detained by the Taliban about four days ago in the central areas of Khost province and were transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to sources, following the arrest of these three individuals, the elderly mother of the former military officer suffered a heart attack.
According to sources, this former military officer of the previous government is named Afsar khan Nuri and fled the country after the Taliban regained control.

Sources added that prior to this, members of Afsar khan’s family had been detained, tortured, and imprisoned by the Taliban on two occasions.
Meanwhile, ever since the Taliban’s takeover of the country, they have engaged in various actions such as arresting, torturing, and even killing former military personnel of the previous government.

According to reports, this group had previously detained several former military officers in the provinces of Takhar, Paktika, and Khost, and so far, there is no information about their fate.
It should be noted that some international authorities and organizations have accused the Taliban of widespread human rights violations due to their actions against former military personnel and women.
Despite more than two years of Taliban rule in Afghanistan, no country in the world has officially recognized this group.
