RASC News Agency: Torkham border sources have confirmed that international relief agencies assisting migrants who have returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan have been suspended.

On Tuesday October 3, Torkham border officials told the media that aid for these immigrants had been put on hold since yesterday.

According to sources, these authorities said that the suspension of humanitarian aid to Pakistan’s returning immigrants is due to budget constraints and a sharp rise in the number of immigrants.

Meanwhile, the Taliban group has also confirmed that the process of providing aid to returning migrants from Pakistan has been stopped, but they said that the Department of Immigration and Returnee Affairs of this group are registering these migrants.

Meanwhile, the government of Pakistan recently announced that it has started the process of deporting one million Afghanistani immigrants from that country.

At the same time, it is said that the economic crises and the ugly treatment of the Pakistani police with Afghanistani refugees have caused some of the Afghanistani immigrants to return to the country by themselves.

This is despite the fact that with the dominance of the Taliban group in the country, and the political, social and economic changes arising from this process, a large number of citizens left the country.

However, Amnesty International also expressed concern about the situation of Afghanistani refugees living in Pakistan.
