RASC News Agency: Local sources in Takhar province in the northeast of the country confirm that a local official of the Taliban group has been identified and arrested on charges of embezzlement and violation in the department of agriculture, irrigation and livestock management of this province.
Abdul Rahim Ahadi, head of the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of the Taliban group in Takhar province, confirmed that the director of agriculture of this group in Farkhar district was arrested for a series of violations.
According to Mr. Ahadi, this agent of the Taliban group had committed embezzlement in the process of collecting tithes and is accused of embezzling 1,350,000 Kabuli/Afghani rupees.
The mentioned stated that this agent of the Taliban group printed the tithe booklets arbitrarily yesterday (August 29) and collected money from the people without coordination.
On the other hand, local sources in Takhar province say that he collected tithe money of wheat, dried berries and other seasonal fruits from farmers and embezzled it.
According to sources, he is under investigation of the Taliban group.
It should be mentioned that the previous day, the governor of Yangi Qala of Takhar province has been accused of not wanting the humanitarian aid of international organizations that should have been distributed to the needy farmers.
Although the Taliban group talks about the fight against administrative corruption and embezzlement in the government offices of this group, but based on the published reports, the level of administrative corruption, embezzlement and irregularities in the system of the Taliban group has increased significantly.
