RASC News Agency: The International Organization for Migration of the United Nations has demanded an immediate stop to the detention of Afghanistani immigrants by the Pakistani government.
Qaisar Afridi, the spokesperson of this organization in Islamabad, stated this issue while talking to the media and said that this organization wants the Pakistani authorities to change in their dealings with Afghanistani immigrants.
According to the International Organization for Migration, there are currently 3.7 million Afghanistani refugees living in Pakistan.
A number of sources added that the detention of Afghanistani immigrants in Pakistan has increased after the recent attacks and statements of a number of high-ranking officials of this country.
Pakistan had previously claimed that terrorist attacks against its forces are being organized from Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, there are reports that after these attacks, Pakistan changed its policies towards Afghanistani immigrants and detained immigrants without legal residency and in some cases asylum seekers who had legal residency documents.
It is worth mentioning that with the domination of the Taliban group in the country, the number of immigrants who left Afghanistan for various reasons and sought refuge in neighboring countries, including Pakistan, has increased.
It should be mentioned that Afghanistani refugees in Pakistan have recently faced misbehavior from the police of this country.
Some published reports show that Pakistan arrests Afghanistani refugees in Pakistan and extorts money from them.
