RASC News Agency: Reliable sources from Bamyan province confirm that the intelligence of the Taliban group in Bamyan enters the students’ rooms of the university of this province late at night and checks the mobile phones of these students, their telephone and internet connection.
A civil activist in Bamyan province, who did not want to be named, told RASC News Agency: “This night action was carried out by one of the intelligence officials of the Taliban in order to create intimidation among students and collect expensive smart phones and computers under the pretext of why they are awake late at night and are busy with their phones.”
This civil activist added that he has many documents in his hands that one of the Taliban intelligence officials in Bamyan and people close to Mawlawi Abdullah Sarhadhi, the governor of this group, are extorting money from the people for Bamyan under various pretexts.
He said that this Taliban official has forcibly taken a piece of land in the area of the new town of Bamyan, which belonged to one of the capitalists of Bamyan, and they are also trying to extort money from the cultural and religious centers of the Shia people, and they are doing harm to them.
This civil activist also emphasizes that if these Taliban officials do not stop blackmailing Bamyan, they will make public all their financial corruption documents, which aid organizations the Taliban officials work with and partner in implementing development programs, which organizations do they take money from, how many markets, they have built a commercial center and oil tank.
This is despite the fact that the officials of the Taliban have tried many times through the media to show themselves as the just rulers of this province and introduce Bamyan province as one of the safest provinces in the country.
