RASC News Agency: The family of Nasir Ahmad, an officer of the former government’s police forces, told the media that he was tortured and killed along with four others after being arrested by the Taliban group.

The family of this former soldier said that he was arrested in his house by the Taliban group on the and after severe torture in prison, together with three other people in the dark of the night on the third road of Karta- Now, Kabul, on charges of murder, they were kidnapped and killed.

Shir Shah Sahak, the son of this former soldier’s uncle, said that Nasir Ahmad was a police officer in the Security command of Paktia province in the previous government and lived in Kabul.

 

He added that after the arrest of Nasir Ahmad, he also met with some officials of the Taliban group and they told him that they would release him after investigations.

He claims that the intelligence of the Taliban group also took two of their private cars, and the members of the Taliban group arrested his other brother who had just returned from Saudi Arabia after this incident, and until now does not know about his location and the charge of his arrest.

The officials of the Taliban group in Kabul have not said anything about the killing of Nasir Ahmad; but they have claimed that four kidnappers were killed in an operation in Karta- Now area of ​​Kabul.

 

This event occurs while the Taliban group is already accused of widespread human rights violations of former regime employees, including extra-legal killings, forced disappearances, arrests, and torture.

Previously, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said in a report dated August 22 that after the Taliban regained control in August 2021 to May 30, 2023, there were more than 800 cases of violations of the human rights of employees and soldiers of the previous government and these cases are documented.
