RASC News Agency: The world organization named “Education Above All” has announced that Afghanistan is on the list of countries with the worst educational conditions.
This organization published a report on (Friday, September 15) and announced that gender inequalities, girls’ limited access to education, and attacks on schools, learning disorders, high illiteracy rates and some other severe challenges put Afghanistan in a dire educational situation.
Maleeha Malik, executive director of the Organization’s Program for the Protection of Education in Insecurity Condition (PEIC) has said that these challenges have been exacerbated by the intervention of “state and non-state” actors and have dealt a significant blow to Afghanistan’s infrastructure and educational opportunities. According to him, Afghanistan is constantly among the countries that are struggling with continuous failures in education. She has stated: “The attack on education in Afghanistan has been from all sides, both from state and non-state actors. This has continuously damaged the education process. “The new bans on education in Afghanistan are still challenging.”
It should be mentioned that the Taliban group, after regaining control of Afghanistan, has closed the gates of universities, middle and high schools to girls, just like in the first period of its rule.
Despite the repeated commitments of the authorities of this group to reopen universities and schools, girls have been deprived of education for more than two years.
This is despite the fact that Volker Turk, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, claimed in the last meeting of the Human Rights Council that human rights in Afghanistan are collapsing.
Referring to the restrictions imposed by the Taliban group, he added that Afghanistan is currently the only country in the world where girls are not allowed to study above the sixth grade.
