RASC News Agency: Public sources in Sare-Pol province say that more than 150 residents of this province have fled to Iran due to fear of the Taliban group.

According to the sources, these people, who recently fled to Iran due to the risk of arrest, torture and harassment by the Taliban fighters, are residents of “Karizha” village, Gosfandi district, Sare-Pol province.

Sources say that they were forced to flee their village after the Taliban group went to the place of residence of these residents, beat, and arrested some of them.

According to public sources, a Taliban fighter recently beat and insulted a local resident for no reason. After that incident, the local residents and relatives of this man got angry and beat a Taliban fighter who also had a weapon.

These sources added that the native residents of Karizha village in Gosfandi district are of Uzbek origin and the Taliban fighter is of Pashtun origin.

One of the residents of this village said: “After the local people beat up this Taliban fighter, he went to the Taliban security headquarters and filed a complaint.”

According to him, after that, Taliban fighters arrested more than 50 local residents and put them in prison.

The source added that the fighters of the Taliban group transferred the detained to the prison of the Security Command in Gosfandi district and they were “severely beaten” and the health condition of more than ten of them was critical and they were transferred to the hospital. The Taliban group threatened that no one should make an issue a media issue.

Local residents say that after a few days, the detainees were released from the Taliban prison after giving bail.

One of the residents of Kariziha village told RASC news agency: “After this incident, until now (Wednesday, September 13), more than 150 residents of the village have fled to Iran because of the fear of the Taliban.” »

According to the source, some of these people have fled to Iran with their families and others without their families and are living in destitution.

The local officials of the Taliban group have not said anything about the incident in the village of “Karizha” in Gosfandi.

At the same time, the civil activists of Sare-Pol province call the behavior of the Taliban group towards the residents of this province as “nationalist”.

One of the officials of the social and civil organizations of Sare-Pol province, who is now living in Pakistan, said: “This is a clear sign of the darkness, darkness and tribalism of the Taliban.”

It should be noted that with the domination of the Taliban group in Afghanistan, the rate of migration and escape of people from arrest, torture and persecution of this group has increased.
