RASC News Agency: The local officials of the Taliban group for Samangan province have announced the arrest of four people, including a woman, on charges of moral corruption and extramarital sex from the province.
The press office of the Taliban Police Command for Samangan Province has confirmed in a statement that three men and one woman from Gol Qeshlaq area of Aybak city of Samangan province have been arrested on charges of moral corruption.
According to a newsletter of this department, these men had illicit relations (sex outside of marriage) with this woman, who were actually identified (at the scene of the incident) and caught.
It is stated in the newsletter that after investigations, the case of the arrested persons has been sent to judicial and judicial bodies to implement the sentence of adultery and the punishment will be carried out against them.
This is despite the fact that before when the Taliban were arresting people on the charge of moral corruption, they made a field court in the place of the incident.
It should be mentioned that the Taliban execute the sentence of whipping, stoning, torture, and harassment for the accused and criminals of illicit relations, and they have executed this sentence in public from time to time.
Amnesty International and other national and international legal institutions have always expressed dissatisfaction with how the Taliban handle legal cases, especially those accused of moral corruption, and have called it unfair.
Although reactions and concerns have been raised in connection with these legal issues, the Taliban group has not retreated from their legal policies, which they say are the implementation of Islamic Sharia.
