RASC News Agency: Local officials of the Taliban group in Balkh province in northern Afghanistan confirm that the forces of this group have killed two kidnappers in parts of this province.
Mohammad Asif Waziri, the spokesman of the Taliban group’s police command for Balkh province, confirms that a conflict between the Taliban and kidnappers took place in Balkh district of this province yesterday (Friday, September 8).
Stating that the kidnappers had planned to kidnap a shopkeeper from Balkh district of Balkh province, he added: “Taliban forces identified these kidnappers and engaged with them.” According to Mr. Waziri, two of the kidnappers were killed in this incident and another one of them escaped from the area, and investigations are underway to identify and arrest him.
The spokesperson of the Taliban group’s police command for Balkh province continued that the kidnappers were not able to take this shopkeeper from Balkh district with them.
Meanwhile, concerns about the increase in kidnapping among people in Balkh province and other provinces have increased.
Kidnapping is an illegal and inhumane phenomenon that has increased in Balkh province and other provinces of the country with the rule of the Taliban group in Afghanistan.
Based on the reports, with the dominance of the Taliban group in the country, in addition to the lack of regular control of destructive acts by this group, they have not been able to take effective measures in the direction of fighting and eradicating kidnapping groups and gangs, that is why the statistics of this phenomenon have increased in the country.
