RASC News Agency: A reliable source from Balkh province in northern Afghanistan confirmed to RASC news agency that 13 people were injured as a result of the explosion in the Mazar-e-Sharif fertilizer and electricity factory.
Based on the information of this source; this incident happened today (Thursday, September 7) in the oxygen production department of the Fertilizer and Electricity Factory in Mazar-e-Sharif.
The news source pointed out that the explosion was caused by the foaming of the oxygen pipe, and as a result, 13 employees of the factory were injured and taken to the hospital.
This source added that the condition of six of the injured was reported to be serious and they are receiving health care at Abu Ali Sina Balkhi Hospital in Mazar-e-Sharif.
So far, the local officials of the Taliban group in Balkh province have not said anything about how this incident happened.
Mazar-e-Sharif Fertilizer and Electricity Factory, which is located in Dehdadi district of Balkh province, is considered one of the largest factories in Afghanistan.
This factory was built in the former Soviet era, and most of its equipment and facilities are Russian and remain from that era, which operates in the production of agricultural chemical fertilizers and sanitary oxygen.
Although the technical and professional employees of this factory had always expressed concern about the wear and tear of its equipment, the Taliban group has not paid any attention to this issue in the past two years.
Currently, this factory, with more than 1,500 workers in various departments, produces more than two thousand burs of chemical fertilizers, 12 megawatts of electricity and dozens of oxygen cylinders every day.
