RASC News Agency: Local sources in Takhar province in the northeast of the country confirm that the Taliban group in this province has wasted the humanitarian aid that should have been distributed to the people.

Sources have told the media yesterday (Tuesday, August 29) that Shamsuddin Homayun, the director of Yangi Qala district of Takhar province, is accused of abusing humanitarian aid.

Based on information from sources; The director of Yangi Qala district has wasted more than 160 sacks of chemical fertilizers and modified seed wheat that should have been distributed to the people and farmers.

Sources have said that this humanitarian aid was provided by the Norwegian Committee for Afghanistan in order to cooperate and help those farmers who are in dire need of these agricultural materials.

In the information published by the sources, it is stated that Shamsuddin Homayun, the director of Yangi Qala district of Takhar province, did this embezzlement a week ago.

The sources said by publishing an article that after the disclosure of this embezzlement of the commander; He called the heads of the development and local councils to his office and forced them to confess that the Norwegian Committee for Afghanistan has provided no aid yet in this district.

So far, the Norwegian Committee for Afghanistan has not said anything about the provision of these aids to the Afghanistani people in Takhar province.

It should be mentioned that earlier in a number of provinces of the country, there were reliable reports of the Taliban’s aversion to humanitarian aid from international organizations, and the United Nations and other international organizations expressed concern about this.
