Taliban Group: Jalriz, Maidan Wardak Residents should Pay Compensation to the Kochis

RASC: According to local sources in Maidan Wardak province, the local officials of the Taliban group said that these people should pay 4,200,000 Kabuli/Afghani rupees in exchange for the release of 17 residents of Jalriz district of this province.

Sources on Sunday, June 25, say that the Taliban group arrested these residents of Jalriz after the Kochi people claimed that 400 of their cattle were missing three days ago.

According to the sources, after three days, the Taliban group will ask the people of Jalriz to pay compensation to the Kochis.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that the Kochis in Maidan Wardak accuse the natives of this province of stealing their cattle.

Two months ago, the local Taliban arrested and imprisoned 15 residents of this province in Maidan Wardak for the crime of stealing sheep from the Kochis, but they were released again due to the lack of sufficient documents and evidence related to this claim.

With the re-establishment of the Taliban group in Afghanistan, Kochis in different provinces, especially Ghazni, Daikundi and Maidan Wardak, from time to time accuse local residents of theft and demand compensation.

In some cases, the Taliban force people to pay huge sums of money to the Kochis under the name of compensation.
