RASC News Agency: The World Health Organization (WHO) warned of the possibility of 24 mothers dying in Afghanistan every day due to the lack of humanitarian funding.

The World Health Organization says that with the current humanitarian budget, it is likely that every day 24 mothers in Afghanistan will die from preventable diseases.

On Monday, August 28, this organization published a message on X/Twitter and said that according to forecasts, this number will increase dramatically.

This institution says that it needs another 125 million dollars to provide health services to the people of Afghanistan by the end of this year.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization had warned about the consequences of the lack of budget for providing health services to the needy in Afghanistan.

Earlier, the World Health Organization announced that due to lack of funds, the activities of 33 hospitals that provided services to 9 million people in Afghanistan will be stopped.

Hospitals that, according to this organization, provided health services to more than 9 million people in Afghanistan.

With the closure of these hospitals, 9 million people from the Afghanistan population will either be completely denied access to health services, or it will be difficult for them to access hospitals.

This organization called the lack of funds as the reason for the closure of these hospitals.

The World Health Organization added that the health system in Afghanistan needs help.

However, the World Health Organization announced that it has provided health services to 1.5 million people in 979 health centers in 333 districts with its 54 other partners.
