RASC News Agency: A number of United Nations experts have considered the idea of reforming the Taliban group to be incorrect and say that the difference between the group’s promises and performance shows that the idea of reforming the Taliban group was wrong.

At least 30 United Nations experts have published a statement on Monday, August 14, saying that after two years of Taliban rule in Afghanistan, this group continues to violate human rights, including the implementation of a discriminatory system against women and girls.

These experts have called mass harassment and gender discrimination by the Taliban as a “crime against humanity“.

According to them, the Taliban group’s discrimination against women and girls has increased compared to last year.

United Nations experts stated that the policies imposed by the Taliban group on the people of Afghanistan; It has led to the continuous, methodical/systematic and shocking cancellation of many human rights, including the right to education, work and freedom.

They have criticized the security risks faced by judges, prosecutors, lawyers and other people involved in the legal system.

These experts have added that promises to form an inclusive government have not been fulfilled, the “general amnesty order” of former government employees is being violated, directives to stop torture and ill-treatment in prisons are ignored, and minorities are marginalized and suffer discrimination.

Meanwhile, two years have passed since the Taliban took over Afghanistan.

During the last two years, the Taliban group has imposed many restrictions against the citizens of the country.

This is while the institution of tolerance; A human rights organization has published a report saying that the Taliban group has violated the human rights of Afghanistani citizens in a wide and targeted manner in the first six months of this year.
