RASC News Agency: Michael McCall, the chairman of the foreign relations committee of the United States House of Representatives, says that he is ready to stop the financial aids to Afghanistan until it is assured.

Michael McCall said in an interview with “Fox News” TV: “The Taliban oppress women and do not allow them to study and work.”

He added: “Because the US humanitarian aid budget to Afghanistan is funded by taxpayers’ money, it should be ensured that the Taliban do not benefit from this aid.”

He further said: “We need to ensure that this money will reach the right hands and help women in Afghanistan; “If the Taliban can’t assure us of this, I think we should be prepared to cut this funding as a stick, not just give them a piece of cake.”

Previously, the Taliban group has denied reports that this group has benefited from humanitarian aid from the international community.

The head of the foreign relations committee of the American House of Representatives said a few days ago that the money of the American taxpayers is being poured into the pockets of a “terrorist group”.

McCall said these words in response to the recent report of the US Special Forces Office for the Reconstruction of Afghanistan (SIGAR); in that report, it was stated that despite the involvement of the Taliban group in humanitarian aid, Washington has provided nearly 2.3 billion dollars to Afghanistan in the last two years.

The warning of the cutoff of American financial aid comes at a time when, according to the statistics published by the United Nations, the number of needy people in Afghanistan has reached more than 29.2 million.

Not long ago, the World Food Program warned that if urgent aid does not reach the needy in Afghanistan before the start of winter, millions of people, including women and children, will starve in this country.
