RASC News Agency: Following the tensions over Helmand water rights, Ham Maihan Iran newspaper wrote that the Taliban group in our neighborhood is considered a serious threat to our security.

This newspaper published an article under the title “Take the Taliban group seriously” and stated that the Taliban group is a serious threat to Iran and warned that Iran should take seriously the threats posed by this group to Iran. Because the Taliban group is different from 1377, and now they have access to a very high number of weapons in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of America.

According to Iranian expert Akbar Mokhtari, we are in the neighborhood of a country that can be a big challenge for Iran’s security.

He said that the Taliban group now has significant differences with the Taliban group of 1377, but of course, these differences are not in a positive direction, but in terms of security risks.

The author said: “Ahmed Shah Masoud is no longer in (Panjshir) with the help of which Iran can advance the Taliban group if necessary. Now even important parts of Panjshir have fallen into the hands of Taliban fighters.”

Meanwhile, this newspaper also wrote about the Helmand water rights, if the Taliban group does not give Iran the water rights from the Helmand River, Iran may take military measures.

According to the article of this newspaper, referring to the water crisis in Iran this year, if Iran does not receive its water rights, it will take military action, and the Taliban group is talking about suicide.

These statements are raised while the tensions between the Taliban group and the Islamic Republic of Iran over water rights have intensified recently.

The Taliban group has repeatedly said that there is no water in the Helmand River; but the Iranian side rejected these claims of the Taliban and said that there is enough water.

Meanwhile, some reports report that an Iranian delegation secretly visited the Kamal Khan dam in Nimroz province.
