RASC News Agency: According to the report of Bakhtar News Agency, which operates under the control of the Taliban group, the office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has resumed its activities in Kabul.

Bakhtar, quoting the Ministry of Immigrants and Returnees on Wednesday, August 9, said that the activities of this organization, which had been suspended for two years, have started again at the Kabul airport.

The Ministry of Immigration and Returnees said in a newsletter that after the Taliban group came to work, the office of the International Rescue Organization “was damaged and ceased to operate, and due to the efforts of this ministry and understanding with the International Organization for Migration, the renovation and provision of its services began.”

The ministry said that this office in Kabul airport will be restored in the next three months.

Also, the Ministry of Immigrants and Returnees emphasized that after these matters, the registration of returnees will be done jointly through flights.

The International Organization for Migration has not commented on this yet.

This is despite the fact that after the fall of the previous regime and the rise of the Taliban group in the country, many organizations and institutions in the country either ceased to operate or their activities have not continued as in the past.

Since their domination over the country, this group has always imposed restrictions on the activities of institutions and interfered in their business affairs.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Economy of the Taliban group had previously announced that the activities of about 220 relief organizations have been stopped in the past year due to not providing clear reports to the Taliban group.

Meanwhile, humanitarian aid from the United Nations and aid agencies to Afghanistan has decreased by 1.4 billion dollars in 2023.
