RASC News Agency: Yesterday, Wednesday, August 9, local sources in Ghazni province report the suicide of a former soldier in Shahre Now of this province.

Sources from Ghazni Provincial Hospital have told the media that last night the body of a member of the security forces of the former government was brought to this hospital while he had hanged himself.

According to the sources, this former soldier was a resident of Shahre Now, Ghazni province, and committed suicide due to poverty and economic problems.

According to the sources, the two brothers of this man were also members of the security forces of the previous government, who died a few years ago during clashes with the Taliban group.

The exact motive of this suicide is not yet clear.

The local officials of the Taliban group in Ghazni province have not said anything about this so far.

This is despite the fact that a soldier of the previous government committed suicide after being released from the prison of the Taliban group in Khost.

The media had reported that his name was Mohammad Anwar and his arms and legs were broken under the torture of the Taliban group.

After the effectiveness of the Taliban group, this group of soldiers of the previous government has been dismissed from their duties and in some cases; they have been arrested, tortured and even killed.

Before this, the UN special human rights rapporteur had described the situation in Afghanistan as alarming.

Referring to numerous reports about the disappearance of people, executions and people fleeing from Afghanistan, he said that the decree of “general amnesty“, which the Taliban group claims, based on which they will not arrest, torture and kill former soldiers, has not been followed.
