RASC News Agency: Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban, has announced the arrest of a number of foreign citizens by this group.

He said that a number of citizens of foreign countries, including the United States, have been arrested by this group and are in prisons.

Speaking to Tolo News, he said that these people were arrested due to some issues, including security issues.

Mujahid did not provide accurate statistics regarding the number of people arrested by this group.

The spokesman of the Taliban group added that if the foreign citizens are not guilty, they will be released, but “if they are proven guilty, we will look for solutions for them.”

During last week’s talks with the delegation of the Taliban group in Qatar, the representatives of the United States asked the group to release the American citizens who are imprisoned by this group without any conditions. They have said with the Taliban group.

At the same time, America has not provided information regarding the number of its citizens who are in the custody of the Taliban group.

A number of American officials accuse the Taliban group of holding American citizens hostage.

The Taliban group once again took power in Afghanistan in August 2021.

In addition to resorting to the strict policies of the past, the group has re-imposed ever-increasing restrictions on women and girls.

This is despite the fact that a number of foreign countries had warned about the travel of their citizens to Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban group.
