RASC: McCall, the chairman of the foreign relations committee of the US House of Representatives, in response to the holding of meetings between American officials and the Taliban group, said that these meetings are of no help to the current situation of Afghanistani women and girls.

This American official said that the results of these meetings between the American officials and the Taliban group, in addition to not having a positive impact on the life of women and girls, help to normalize the Taliban group.

Call, in response to the final announcement of the meeting of the US representatives with the Taliban group, demanded to stop the meetings of the US representatives with the Taliban group and said that the Afghanistani citizens do not want the United States to interact more with the Taliban group.

McCall still reacts to the recent statements of Rina Amiri, the US special representative for Afghanistani women’s affairs, saying that since Rina Amiri was appointed to this position, the Taliban group has issued more orders to suppress women.

He said that Rina Amiri’s efforts to influence the Taliban group’s behavior towards Afghanistani women and girls have been fruitless.

This is while Rina Amiri, after her meeting with the foreign minister of the Taliban group, wrote in a tweet that she had attended the Doha meeting based on the repeated emphasis of Afghanistani women and human rights activists on the necessity of direct interaction with the Taliban group.

These statements of Amiri met with many reactions from Afghanistani women, and protesting women in Afghanistan have said that Amiri should withdraw these statements and apologize to Afghanistani women.
