RASC: Officials of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock under the administration of the Taliban group in Kunduz province have reported an increase in the Congo virus epidemic.
They say that the officials in this sector have failed to control the spread of the Congo disease and have said that more than 400 cows and sheep have been lost in Kunduz.
This is despite the fact that more than 50% of the residents of Kunduz province are agriculturalists and have cattle or deal with livestock in some way.
Before Eid al-Adha, some national and international institutions had warned about the spread of the blood donor or Congo virus.
Last month, the 50-bed Hospital in Kunduz also warned about the spread of Congo and asked people to take health recommendations into account.
Yesterday, Mawlawi Amanullah Hassan, the head of agriculture and finance of the Taliban group, announced the inability of the agriculture department to control the epidemic of this deadly virus, and requested the cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Finance of Kabul.
He worriedly said that people do not consider the important points of public health recommendations, as more than 400 cattle have died in the past few days and we are unable to control the spread of this deadly disease.
At the same time, the residents of Dasht Archi and Imam Sahib districts of Kunduz province, expressing concern about the epidemic of this disease, say that a family of 8 people in Archi district, who were rich, got infected with this virus and two of them have died and the rest are in 400-bed hospitals. They are under treatment and their health condition is reported to be serious.
The doctors of the 400-bed Kunduz hospital say that dozens of people, including men and women, are under serious care in this hospital.
