RASC: According to sources in Takhar province, an official of the Taliban group raped a woman in Takhar province.

Reliable sources said on Friday, July 21, that this official’s name is Azizullah the Taliban group official, known as Hamas, who works as the public health officer of Dasht Qala district of Takhar province.

The female victim’s name is Fariba (pseudonym) and she is a resident of Aqle Mamai village in Khawajaghar district of Takhar.

These sources have added that Hamas first took this woman from this village to Dashtarchi district of Kunduz and then transferred her to the center of Khawajaghar district and sexually assaulted her.

According to these sources, Hamas was arrested while raping this woman on Tuesday, July 18, by people related to the security command of the Taliban group in Takhar.

Takhar security command has confirmed this incident.

According to the sources, the health condition of the female victim is not good and Hamas has been transferred from Khawajaghar district to the monitoring house in Taleqan city, the center of Takhar province.

Previously, people related to the Taliban group have been accused of similar incidents.

The son of a Taliban commander first raped a girl in Ghor in May this year and then killed her.
