RASC: With the narrowing of media activities in Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban group, a number of journalists in Bamyan province confirm that the Taliban group has imposed restrictions on local journalists and media in this province.
They say that since one month, the intelligence department of the Taliban group has put the activities of the local media in this province under the microscope and by putting extra pressure on the journalists; they have made it difficult for the media to work in Bamyan.
Qutbuddin Saadat; The person in charge of the communication and public relations department of the Bamiyan Intelligence Department has also confirmed this issue.
He also emphasizes that Bamiyan Intelligence Directorate will not allow any media to broadcast and publish negative news under the regime of Taliban group.
Before this, Bamyan was active in civil and media activities, but with the arrival of the Taliban group, several print media and a local radio station stopped their activities and dozens of journalists left the media.
With the domination of the Taliban group over the country, media activities have always faced challenges from this group and many journalists have been arrested and tortured by this group.
In similar cases, not long ago, the journalists of the country complained about the lack of timely information by the spokespersons of this group.
In Afghanistan, under the control of the group, reports have been published about the suspension of media activities due to various reasons, including economic problems, and in the latest case, the broadcasts of Radio Nahad in Balkh province were stopped.
At the same time, a number of institutions had announced the collapse of the 20-year foundation of freedom of expression in Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban group.
