RASC: According to reliable sources in Paktika province, an important person of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has been killed by unknown gunmen in this province.

Reliable sources in this province have confirmed on Friday, July 14, that unknown gunmen killed a member of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar branch of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in Sharan district, the center of Paktika province.

Sources said that the killed person was named Qari Mohammad, who was known as Mohammad Ibrahim.

Meanwhile, Pakistani media said the dead were among those close to Khaled Khorasani, a prominent member of the TTP, who was under the chase of Pakistani security forces.

At the same time, Express Tribune mentioned this person as the head of Jamaat al-Ahrar group.

The Afghan Taliban and TTP have not reacted to the killing of this person so far.

The mysterious killing of this member of the Pakistani Tehreek-e-Taliban took place at the same time as the process of transferring members of this group by the Taliban from the border areas between Afghanistan and Pakistan to the north of the country.

Meanwhile, General Asim Munir, the Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army, has recently asked the Taliban group to prevent TTP attacks from Afghanistan to the Pakistan security checkpoints.

It should be noted that this is not the first incident of killing of TTP members in Paktika, last year in two separate explosions in Barmal district of this province, four members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan were killed and 11 others were injured.
