RASC: Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, has said that nearly 130 million girls around the world are deprived of going to school.

On Saturday, July 1, Mr. Guterres wrote on his Twitter that more than half of these girls live in crisis-affected countries.

The Secretary General of the United Nations added that girls’ lack of access to school makes them vulnerable to early marriage, violence and exploitation.

Antonio Guterres said that investing in girls, their education and human rights is an investment in the future.

This is while after the domination of the Taliban group, female students above the sixth grade in Afghanistan have been banned from going to school.

It should be mentioned that according to the UNESCO report, as a result of this order of the Taliban group, 1.2 million girls have been deprived of access to education and school.
