RASC: Officials of the local administration of the Taliban group in Bamyan province say that four people, including two women and two men, have died as a result of a traffic incident in this province.
Mohammad Khawani Rasa, the spokesman of the security command of the Taliban group in Bamyan province, told reporters that the incident took place around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, on the road between Band Amir and the center of Bamyan province.
Rasa says that in this incident, a “Suzuki” type car deviated from the road and overturned on the road between Band Amir and the center of Bamyan province.
According to him, as a result of this incident, two men, two women were killed and a man and a child were also injured.
Rasa says that the injured have been transferred to the central hospital of Bamyan province for treatment.
He called the main cause of this traffic incident to be high speed and inattention of the driver.
This is while the road leading to Bamyan province is crowded due to the increase in tourists from Band Amir, the country’s national park, although after the rule of the Taliban group, the number of domestic and foreign tourists has decreased compared to previous years.
In the days of Eid al-Fitr, several traffic incidents took place on the road to Bamyan province, which resulted in casualties.
Traffic accidents on the highways and villages of the country kill dozens of people and leave dozens injured every year.
Overcrowding, carelessness of drivers and their lack of proper familiarity with driving rules cause these traffic incidents.
