RASC News Agency: According to local sources from Ghor province, the Taliban have recently abducted a young girl from her home at gunpoint in the region. Sources informed the media on Thursday, Mar 28, that several local Taliban commanders in the Pasaband district of Ghor, without hesitation, seized a young girl from her father’s house.

According to accounts from these sources, Khairullah Khairkhwa, the governor, Abdul Hamid Khalid, the security commander, Mohammad Mushfiq, the intelligence deputy, and Tohid, the intelligence officer of Pasaband district, were among the Taliban members who raided the girl’s house. Sources further state that the girl was engaged, and the Taliban, disregarding propriety, forcibly took her away and coerced her into marriage without her consent.

Footage circulating in the media portrays the Taliban’s brutality as they forcibly remove the young girl, subjecting her and her family members to assault. The Taliban have not yet commented on this incident. Their violent behavior towards civilians is not unprecedented.

In a similar incident in the month of March, Taliban members in Takhar province abducted a teenage girl and forcibly married her to one of their members.
