RASC: According to public sources in Kunduz province, two young sisters have died as a result of drowning in Chahar Dara river in the center of this province.

Sources say that one of these girls was 19 years old and the other was 21 years old. They had gone to wash clothes by the river on Friday Morning, June 23, in the village of “Hamid Bay” of the third district of Kunduz city.

According to a source, one of the girls drowned while playing in the water and her sister threw herself into the water to save her, but failed to save her and both sisters drowned.

According to the source, the local residents did not manage to save the two sisters due to severe flooding.

Sources say that the bodies of these two girls were found an hour after they drowned in the village downstream of the Chahar Dara river.

It should be mentioned that as incidents have happened in some other provinces in the past, carelessness is said to be one of the main reasons for these incidents.

It should be noted that not long ago, a young girl died in a similar incident in Badakhshan province as a result of drowning in Kokcha river.
