RASC: Following the criticism and publication of reports in response to the violation of the procedures of the Band Amir National Park by the members of the Taliban group, the local officials of this group held a meeting of the National Park on the afternoon of Monday, June 19 during a trip to Band Amir.
It has been said that in this meeting, the commander and guards of the national park were supposed to be investigated and some of them were dismissed from their duties. However, Mawlawi Siddiqullah Shahin Masafir, the commander of the security forces, and Mawlawi Gulabuddin Zabihullah, the head of the Taliban’s agriculture, opposed this decision of the governor of Bamyan, and the meeting ended without results.
A source told the media that the Pashtun and Tajik Taliban’s show of power in Bamyan made this meeting ineffective because the protection of the Band Amir National Park is the responsibility of the Department of Agriculture of Bamyan and if Mawlawi Sediqullah Shahin had not interrupted this meeting to support him. Abdallah Sarhady used the opportunity to dismiss the director of Band Amir National Park and the head of agriculture, who are of Tajik origin.
According to some eyewitnesses, the people who caused pollution and disorder in Band Amir are high-ranking members of the Taliban group, and even the officials of the Bamyan intelligence department are not allowed to approach them.
It is said that the Taliban group has made Band Amir National Park very disorderly and polluted and they even go to the dam with their cars.
The security commander and the Taliban governor in Bamyan have been trying to oust each other for about a year, and this issue has made this group more disorderly in Bamyan.
