Naming the July 12 as Anti-Dust Day

RASC: The United Nations General Assembly, by adopting a resolution on July 12, named as the International Day to Combat Dust Storms.

This resolution calls on all member states of the United Nations and its specialized agencies, other international and regional organizations, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, academics and other stakeholders to adapt to the national priorities of the countries through training and necessary measures in the direction. In order to raise public awareness and promote health, well-being and increase sustainable land use and management, food security and resilience against climate change.

According to this resolution, the global coalition to deal with dust storms with the cooperation of specialized agencies of the United Nations are working towards the goals of the resolution.

The Islamic Republic of Iran plays a very valuable role in the field of dealing with dust at the regional and global level.

In this regard, the international conference on dealing with dust storms with the cooperation of the United Nations is going to be held in Iran in the coming months with the presence of various countries and organizations.
