Construction of a Girls’ High School with the Support of the International Organization for Migration in Nangarhar Province

RASC: Farhad Ahmad Stanikzai, the spokesperson of the Taliban’s Department of Education for Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan, stated that the building of “Kandibagh” high school in “Chaparhar” district of this province built with the support of the International Organization for Migration.

He added: “In addition to classrooms, this high school also has an office room and restrooms, a water well, a computer, and a laboratory.”

“The construction of this high school cost $217,000, which was paid by the International Organization for Migration,” Stanikzai said.

Although girls above the sixth grade are still not allowed to study, female students have welcomed the establishment of this high school.
