NRF Claims to Have Eliminated 651 Taliban Fighters in 1403

RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Front (NRF) of Afghanistan has announced that its forces eliminated approximately 651 Taliban fighters across 19 provinces during the solar year 1403. In an official statement released on Thursday, March 20, the NRF reported conducting 401 military operations against Taliban forces, resulting in 579 additional militants wounded. According to the statement, NRF fighters launched coordinated attacks in Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, Panjshir, Baghlan, Kunduz, Takhar, Badakhshan, Herat, Farah, Ghor, Badghis, Nuristan, Balkh, Sar-e-Pul, Faryab, Nimroz, Maidan Wardak, and Laghman.

The NRF emphasized that no civilians were harmed during these operations, reiterating its commitment to minimizing collateral damage while targeting Taliban strongholds. The report highlighted that Kabul province witnessed the highest concentration of resistance activities, with 126 operations conducted inflicting what the NRF described as “devastating blows” on Taliban forces. The statement also asserted that NRF fighters sustained no casualties during these engagements. Previously, the Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) had also claimed responsibility for multiple attacks against the Taliban in various regions.

The Taliban, however, have consistently dismissed these reports, branding them as “propaganda” and denying the presence of organized resistance forces within the country. In a recent incident, the NRF claimed responsibility for a targeted attack in Kunduz province, though Taliban authorities have yet to acknowledge the assault. Over the past three years, anti-Taliban resistance groups have frequently reported conducting military operations across Afghanistan. However, the Taliban have refuted these claims, maintaining that no significant armed opposition exists. Despite these denials, the NRF and other resistance factions continue to release operational reports, asserting their ongoing fight against Taliban rule.
