RASC News Agency: Michael Flynn, the former National Security Advisor to Donald Trump, met with FBI Director Christopher Wray while holding a copy of Our Freedom, a book by Ahmad Massoud, the leader of Afghanistan’s National Resistance Front. Flynn shared a photo from the meeting with Wray, accompanied by the caption: “A good day today.” In the image, Massoud’s book is clearly visible in his hands.
Last year, Ahmad Massoud released Our Freedom in the United States, a book chronicling the struggles of the Afghan people in their fight for freedom. Aminullah, who has read the book, told RASC that Our Freedom focuses primarily on the resistance led by Ahmad Massoud against the Taliban and other extremist groups. The book sheds light on the Afghan people’s fight for freedom, with a particular emphasis on the National Resistance Front’s efforts.
Aminullah further explained that in the book, Massoud articulates his views on freedom, democracy, human rights, and the necessity of confronting authoritarian and terrorist forces. The book has already been published in the U.S. and has garnered an award. General Michael Flynn, a retired U.S. Army officer, was appointed National Security Advisor during Donald Trump’s first presidential term. However, he resigned in 2017 after serving for just 22 days, following revelations of his communications with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador, and providing “false information” to then-Vice President Mike Pence.
Flynn remains a popular figure among Trump supporters. This development follows previous statements by Maisam Nazari, a representative of the National Resistance Front, who revealed ongoing contacts with certain U.S. officials. Nazari emphasized that some U.S. officials offer support for the resistance against the Taliban.
