RASC News Agency: Sama News Pakistan has reported that Badruddin, also known as Yusuf, the son of Ghulam Muhammad, the Taliban’s deputy governor in Badghis province, was killed alongside members of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during a counterterrorism operation in Dera Ismail Khan. According to the report, the operation, conducted on Thursday in the Kacha area of Dera Ismail Khan, resulted in the elimination of three insurgents, including Badruddin (Yusuf). Pakistani security officials identified Yusuf as a member of the extremist group F.A.K. and confirmed his presence alongside TTP militants at the time of the operation. Pakistani authorities have characterized Yusuf’s presence among TTP fighters as “undeniable evidence” of the Afghanistani Taliban’s active support for terrorist factions operating against Pakistan.
A senior Pakistani official, speaking to Sama News, stated:
“The Afghanistani Taliban has provided explicit support for terrorism within Pakistan. The death of the Taliban deputy governor’s son alongside TTP militants serves as irrefutable proof of their direct involvement.” Islamabad has long accused the TTP and other militant groups of receiving training, arms, and sanctuary within Afghanistan under Taliban rule. Condemning these actions as “overt aggression,” Pakistani officials warned that the country “will no longer remain passive in the face of terrorism emanating from Afghanistan’s soil.” Authorities further cautioned that any continued use of Afghanistan-based militants against Pakistan would provoke a “resolute and uncompromising response.”
“Pakistan will no longer tolerate state-sponsored terrorism from Afghanistan,” a senior security official affirmed. Officials also stressed that the Afghanistani Taliban’s ongoing support and arming of militant factions represent a grave threat to regional stability and demand urgent international scrutiny. Sama News, citing intelligence sources within Pakistan, reported that the connections between the TTP and the Afghanistani Taliban are now indisputable and can no longer be dismissed as speculation.
